Stories in this book cover a period of many years and were selected from the Greek edition, published by HECATE, Athens in 2001. They include stories from the years the writer worked as a sailor in the Greek Merchant Marine and, primarily they deal with the relationship between an animal-loving human being and a house pet. There are also stories about house animals who are kept for their utility, like goats, swine, rabbits, etc. All of them are written in a fluid narrative and emotional involvement from the part of the writer. He lived most of them.
