This book presents conversations with the students from the Mecca, Howard University, many of which served as volunteers in Obama s campaign, others serving in a host of organizations dedicated to his electoral victory, and still others that marched to the White House in celebration of his victory on election night, and many that braved the cold to attend the historic inauguration. This book is about how history came to Howard University and how the students of that great factory of academic excellence participated in and witnessed history: the election of the first African American President.
