Existence, in Islamic Africa, was a labyrinth where relentless echoes sabotaged my focus and wasted my strength away. I heard: "The key to a woman's salvation sits in her husband's pocket". In an attempt to find the truth, I fled toward Christianity. The echoes persisted, softer, yet with a similar purpose; one to keep women in spiritual chains, not too far from Satan. After experimenting with polygamy, in the midst of my frantic gamble for another husband, I peeked into Genesis and realized that Lucifer might have slightly prevaricated but Adam was the true traitor. I uncovered then the roots of a trend I had already suspected; men were never keepers of women after all and creeds had nothing to do with it. Then I looked up and the clouds had shapes: Jesus and the Samaritan woman defying oppressive religion; a vision of restoration to pre-curse Eden, having a purpose higher than marriage and becoming divine again. Can one separate the Son of Man from religion though? The alternative, to establish peace, is to reconcile Christ and Lucifer.
